What is ECO4
The ECO4 scheme is a government initiative that offers fully funded financial assistance for energy-efficient upgrades to households in Great Britain. Homeowners or Landlords with properties holding a low EPC rating can apply for a package of energy-saving measures and heating improvements through eco funding. Measures include Insulation, Air Source Eco Heat Pumps and Solar Panels*.
ECO4 is the fourth phase of the Government’s Energy Company Obligation. It started in August 2022 and it's due to continue until 31 March 2026.
(*Solar Panels are only eligible when installed alongside other measures)
Who's eligible for ECO4?
- A homeowner or Landlord with a property holding an EPC rating of E or below: as well as the individuals living in the property being in receipt of one of the following;
- Income-based Job Seekers Allowance
- Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
- Income Support
- Pension Credit Guarantee Credit
- Working Tax Credit
- Child Tax Credit
- Universal Credit
- Housing Benefit
- Pension Credit Savings Credit
- Child Benefit (Subject to conditions and income cap)
